The Fall

Back in 1978 when Punk rock was figuring itself out this band The Fall stood out as doing something very unique and powerful. Formed on the outskirts of Manchester, England in 1976 They went on to record 26 albums (and counting). Their first LP was 'Live at the Witch Trials' and it is amazing. Most of the first 12 records are very good to great. I am less familiar with the more recent stuff. They have recorded a ton of great songs and Mark E. Smith the leader and singer of the band has such a great presence. His singing/talking vocal style is filled with such disdain. Below is a link to a song from a single of 1980.
