X-Ray Spex

This is an often overlooked band that really deserves close inspection: X-Ray Spex. 'Germ Free Adolescents' (1978) is their only full album release, but it is spectacular. Poly Styrene, the lead singer, has a very powerful voice and the saxophone, played by Lora Logic, add elements not usually associated with 1977 british punk rock. A perfect album with no duds. . .

I saw this band play at a school dance in New Brunswick back in the day, and Lora Logic is deserving of the title Punk Goddess of Finland.
