How not to steal, subway version

Use turnstiles to enter and exit the subway.

If you need the subway gate, don't hold it open.

Board through the front door on local buses and have your MetroCard ready.

Buy your ticket before you board and keep it throughout your ride on SBS buses.

Follow, and upward

I saw this poster hanging in the Gallery at a college art show last week. Gustav Klutsis (January 4, 1895 – February 26, 1938) was a pioneering Latvian photographer and major member of the Constructivist avant-garde in the early 20th century. He is known for the Soviet revolutionary and Stalinist propaganda he produced with his wife Valentina Kulagina.

Have you heard my Song of the day?

Have you heard my Song of the day?
Well it is real and has all kinds of great songs on it. I only post truly great songs. Occasionally terrible songs make their way in somehow.

Mostly they are YouTube links with Spotify links added.

Angel hails cab

On my way to work I often pass this ornate statue of an angel hailing a cab. It was made back in the 1800’s, long before the automobile. In New York if you have to get around you do what you can.

New York says hi . . . .

New York says hi, how are you, are you having a nice day? I see you bought an expensive heavy duty lock and chain, but it's fine really, I didn't want that tire  anyway. I had an extra one.

Performance art and bright lights

Bright lights and loud sounds. That is how we approached performing at Medusas. They were not going to kill the music during our performance. That's cool. 'untitled' by M. Atscof & Brendan deVallance, November 17, 1984
